KDFCC's mission is to raise cancer awareness and teach people that early detection and proper screening can save lives. So we provide breast cervical and oral cancer screening along with general medical checkups for free at our medical camps.
Also, we provide medicine for free.
In order to reach people this year we organized seminars. In the seminar we discussed the importance of breast self -exams, cervical and oral cancer screening that could save lives and to enhance better life.
KDFCC volunteers along with the support of medical team of CNCI and KDFCC consulting oncologists conducted medical screening camps.
BSE (Breast Self-Exam) was performed on 114 women. CBE (Clinical Breast Exam) was performed on one woman. This woman currently is in doctor’s advice.
102 women were screened for cervical cancer. 3 women were found VIA +, they are to follow doctor’s advice.
Oral screening was performed on 36 both male and female.
1 was observed with lesions and advised for further evaluation.
In addition, KDFCC also provided free general checkups as well as a program to determine blood sugar level of villagers while fasting. A total of 47 people got blood sugar level checked.
KDFCC continued support to students from cancer victim families for books, admission fees and tuition fees so that these students can move forward for their better life.
KDFCC provided monetary support to different type of cancer patients for their treatment as well.
